Frankincense comes from the sticky sap of the Boswellia tree located in North Africa and India.
With its citrus and piney fragrance, it is one of the most widely used sacred resins. The Babylonians and Assyrians burned it during religious ceremonies. The Egyptians used it as a sacred ingredient in their embalming process and Frankincense was one of the gifts given to Mary when Jesus was born as a symbol of his Divinity.

RITUAL USE
Always place coal in a fire-safe container/holder and in a well-ventilated area. Always have a window or door open when burning loose incense and resin.
