Physical Touch - Love Language for Self Love

This love language is easy when we are discussing physical touch to show love to a loved one, but how do we apply this language as a way to love on ourselves? Well, we just need to get a little creative and confident.

Hair Love. Show your hair some extra attention. Give yourself a scalp massage, deep condition your hair, detangle it with the tender love and care it deserves. Your hair is your crown. Make sure you tend to it as such.


Masturbation with intention. Don't blush. We are all grown folks here. Masturbation is a great way to show love to your physical body. Get to know yourself and your body by planning a date with yourself. There is no need to wait for a play date to enjoy all the benefits orgasms can offer. Orgasms are great for our immune system, they are an instant mood booster and always adds a natural glow to your face. And if orgasms are a mysterious experience for you, this is one of the best ways to get familiar with yourself.



Moisturize with intention. After bathing, find your favorite lotion or body oil and begin to moisturize yourself slowly and intentionally. You can start from your head to your toes or the bottom up, which ever is your style. As you moisturize yourself, speak love and life into your body. Extra points if you do this in front of a mirror.

Dance, Stretch, Move. Especially your womb area. It is so important for us women to move that energy with fluidity. That energy is in our Sacral Chakra. It is the home of our emotions, our creative energy, and our sexual expressions. You know you need to do extra work on this area if you are feeling creatively blocked, you lost your sexy or your hips well stiff!

Move your womb! Place your hands on your hips and just move. You can start with a slow sway. It doesn’t need to be fluid, sexy, or cool. Just move.

Laugh. It really is the best medicine. Watch something that makes you laugh. Think of how laughing feels in the body. It starts in your stomach (sacral chakra) and moves up through your body up and out your mouth (throat chakra). There is so much excitement and joy that your body cannot contain the sensation and is forced to make a noise (laughter). Laughing is incredible. On a biological level, laughing increases the endorphins that is released by your brain which is a natural pain killer and brings on feelings of joy and euphoria. So laughing gives you a natural high.


Conscious Breathing. In a safe space, sit in a comfortable position and place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly.
